I had no idea that leprechauns liked Andes mints...

Somehow this little leprechaun got into our house and made a big mess of everything! I think he was looking for a pot of gold. Believe me, if we had one, it would not have been hidden in my kitchen cubboard OR my food storage shelf. He left fools gold and Andes mints everywhere, (Andes mints? who would have thought?!) along with a trail of little magical clovers everywhere he went. What a funny little guy!

For dinner on Sunday I made corned beef and cabbage. It is an Enzler tradition every St. Patricks Day. I think it is so tasty, it is really too bad that Chase hates it with a passion. He thinks because its red it means its not cooked. Anyway, hope everyone had a lucky day!

What happened to the Taylor's?

I don't really have a good reason for not updating in a long time...other than I didn't have any cute pictures to put up? Ok thats not the real reason either. I just haven't felt like it. Lazy I guess. Anyway, we've been 2 busy kids. Chase has ONE MONTH left of his college education and will be graduating in May in Business Entrepeneurship. He has been working part time at Western Wats with me. I have been working at Western Wats as well as finding the speed limits for random cities across the country for a company called Inthinc. It is great because I get to work from home and choose my own hours. We've also been sick on and off for the past month. A nasty cold for Chase and a chronic cough for Leah. We're just about over it now though, just in time for the warm weather!

Two weeks ago my brothers Brian and Matt and Matt's wife Dara came into Boise for the weekend from Dallas. We sure love getting to see them! The weekend was filled with birthday celebrations(Kyle), Walley-ball, a mafia-type game called werewolf, playing with baby Tayler, and of course, plenty of basketball for the boys...er...men.

This past weekend Chase's brother and sister came to Logan for a night and we showed them a good old time as Aggies. Abby is coming up to USU for school next year so we showed her around campus. We also got to teach them "The Scotsman" at an infamous Aggie Basketball game. We sure love Abby and Lincoln!

That is pretty much our update. We have just been enjoying the busyness of life and have been making good plans for the future. We have recently decided to try our hand at Real Estate this summer and head to Boise to learn from a pro. (My bro Kyle). It will be a fun learning experience-and you can always count on the Taylor's to be up for an adventure!

What do you get when you've got nothing to make for dinner?

...TOM-LOVE SOUP!

The other day I was distracted until I realized my stomach was growling. It was 7:30pm and I had nothing prepared for dinner...and we might not have been grocery shopping for over a week... I know I'm a "horrible wife". So I decided to get creative.

I put some chicken broth in a big pot.
a bag of frozen broccoli,
frozen corn,
cut up a frozen kilbasey that I had in the freezer, and
some quick homemade noodles.
Oh yeah, and I added some spices at my leisure...
fennel, thyme,
bay leaves,
a little cream,

and of course some Tony's .

I was so proud of myself because I thought I had been so creative and had created a masterpiece. Its not that it was bad, it just wasn't that good. You know, too many combinations of flavors... Its ok though, because it included a game. Chase had to search his soup for the two "special noodles".

I know, we're crazy. Ya gotta mix life up a little sometimes you know?

P.S. The "Tom" part of this culinary masterpiece comes from the "T" noodle. Tom is the nickname that Chase and I both call eachother. Thats a story for another day...

The big 23!

I couldn't have asked for a better birthday. Chase made it so special with surprises all day; breakfast in bed, presents, flowers at work, dinner, and fun with friends at night. The next day my mom and dad came down for the weekend! It was so much fun to show them a good time in Logan. We even took them to an Aggie Basketball Game-against BSU! They LOVED it. Friday night we got to have dinner with the Taylors. Chase and I love every chance

we get to have our parents all together.

Thanks to everyone who helped make my birthday weekend so much fun! I love you guys! P.S. I got a Wii FIT for my birthday! Chase (and Penny) was so excited that he got the soccer high score that he had to document it.

great on everything...

Have you ever tried Tony Charero's creole seasoning?

SO good...

on chicken,

on cucumber,

on AVOCADO...

Just read the bottle, it tells you what its good on. And it does not lie.

overdue...

Well, because of a combination of busyness, a little laziness, and computer technical difficulty, I am finally just getting around to posting about our recent happenings. To sum up, we had a WONDERFUL Christmas break with family. We got to spend a whole 10 days in Eagle with the Enzlers, and a few days before Christmas, and a few days after Christmas with the Taylors. Here are some of the highlights of the last month (the ones we got pictures of at least)
