SIX {months}!

So are you telling me that Baby Beck isn't going to be my baby forever?  ...because I am going to have a hard time with that.  I can't believe he is already six months.  It seems impossible that this kid could have blessed our lives so much in such a short period.  We just love him so much!

Beck's first round of rice cereal (at about 5 months) backed him up for a week-

This round (at 6 months went much better) Boy of boy this boy loves his food. 

So much in fact-that he eats his bib if we don't give him the next bite fast enough.

Besides being held by someone who loves him, this is his next favorite place to be...his jumperoo.

Mr. Beck is very curious.  He notices textures and has made it difficult for mommy to hold him and anything else at the same time because he dives for whatever is in my hand

He has recently started showing excitement for people (and Penny).  When Chase brings him in to me in the morning he always gets a huge grin and reaches for me.  It melts me to puddles.

Our little man is a mover.  He is constantly rolling around the room to get to a toy (or Penny) He gets up on his elbows and stands on his feet like he's going to crawl-but then he just flips over.

He has mastered sitting up!  These pictures were about a week ago when he sat Humpty dumpty style but now he is pretty stable.  He can sit for longer periods every day. 

Mr. Man is also a charmer.  He is the biggest distraction at church.

wedding bells!

Well, I know I'm behind but I have lots of good excuses! Weddings, internet outage, new church callings, our nuskin business, and a really cute baby to distract me. SO! I'll start with Kaela's wedding.

A few weeks ago many of our family and friends gathered from all over the country to celebrate my sweet sister's wedding.  It was a weekend filled with river rafting, pool parties, late nights chatting under the stars, golf and basketball for the guys (of course), pedi's and manicures with the girls, going to the temple, and just being together. A special thanks to my amazing mom for putting together such a fun weekend/family reunion.  You can really see how much she loves her family when she plans such a perfect week for everyone.

The Enzler family is spread out all over the country but everyone managed to come a few days early so we could draw out the party! My oldest sister Tiffini and John came in from Atlanta, brothers Brian and Matt from Texas, (we missed you Dara!!) Aunt Nancy and my cousins Sean, Tracy and her boyfriend Doug came from New Jersey, cousin Jen, Todd and their six kids from Texas, and my Dad's sisters Kathy from Virginia and Connie from Chicago.  Kyle, Jade, and Tayler didn't have to travel far.  It sure was a party.  Its not often that we all get to get together.  The only thing missing in the weekend was a few relatives and crabs!

Kaela was a STUNNING bride (of course)  It was so much fun for the family to meet Garrett.  He makes me sister so happy.  They are a great couple who I know will go far together.  They had three awesome photographers.  My SIL Jalene took some AMAZING pre-wedding photos.

It was especially fun for me to introduce Beck to my family.  Most had never met him yet.  I ran around trying to get as many pictures of Beck with my family as possible so I can show him the people that love him from afar.  Beck really made us look like great parents this week.  He is always a really good/easy baby but this week he was an angel! He was on no schedule because we were running around all the time and he never went to bed on time, yet he rarely fussed.  He gave smiles to everyone and was totally content getting passed around from person to person.  When we got home I felt like I missed him because he was in someone else's arms the whole trip.

One thing we have been severely deprived of this summer was spending time outdoors.  Its sad to say but I am as pale as a ghost!  Our great friends Tate and Jodi took us on a boat adventure a few weeks ago.  It was a quick trip but oh so fun! Beck was lulled to sleep by the motor, and we all got some good wakeboarding in. **I had a video of myself doing a triple back flip over the wake but it took too long to upload. You'll have to imagine how cool I looked ;-)

goin' on an adventure!

A few weeks ago my brother Kyle and his family came to visit.  We got to spend most of a day hanging out with Tayler and we had a great time!

First we packed our napsack full of important adventure tools and made our way into the depths of the cave

We had a telescope and flashlight to help seek our treasures in the darkness

Luckily we had the expertise of a seasoned explorer and his bigger friend Chase

We had to climb mountains, crawl through canyons, and over HUGE rocks. 

It was dangerous at times, but luckily we arrived back at home safe and sound.

Our little Beck is five months old!

It seems like every month mark he has a growth spurt. He always seems to hit some developmental milestones on his month birthday exactly.  This month he rolled over from back to tummy and got two teeth on August 1!

Also this month he:

mastered rolling both directions

learned to "inch" wherever he wants to go

found his feet, and loves to suck on his piggys, and

settled into a more predictable napping routine (YAY!)

tried rice cereal for the first time (yesterday)

Beck is still our happy boy-so willing to give a smile.  We have all kinds of nicknames for him.  Chase calls him "Budly Boofer" or "my little guy", or "my little man".  I call him "sweet boy" or "chico banano"

This month Beck and Penny decided they are best friends.  He gets huge grins and smiles whenever she walks by.  His first "scooting" was when he was trying to get to Penny.  If Beck wakes from a nap fussing, Penny is already at the door trying to get in by the time I get there.  The other day Penny, me, and Beck were napping on the bed and Penny settled right in at Beck's feet and layed her head on his legs. 

Last night we tried feeding Beck rice cereal.  I was planning to wait until 6 months but I could tell he was ready.  It was like he had done it a hundred times. He opened his mouth wide for the spoon, closed, "chewed", swallowed, and opened for more. It was the cutest thing! 

We just got him this little jumper and he thinks it is the funnest thing!  He is a wiggle worm so its nice to have a place where he can release some energy. 

We love our little guy so much!
