Countdown to cruise: 9 days!

In 9 days Chase and I will be leaving for Florida for a Western Caribbean CRUISE! Oh my goodness I am so excited. We got a voucher for a Carnival cruise when we bought our car back in December so we're cashing in! It wasn't as "FREE" as it was advertised, but we still got an amazing deal for the cruise and negotiated a large discount for our car so we are happy.

Its a four day cruise that leaves out of Miami and stops in Key West and Cozumel, Mexico. This is my first cruise and we are trying to plan Excursions. Has anyone been on this cruise before? Chase wants to see the Mayan ruins but the only Excursion we found is 7 hours long, which will take up the entire time at Cozumel. Anyone have any cruise experience or advice to share?

Go Aggies! (Take 3)

This is the THIRD time I have created this post, typed the info, painstakingly added each picture. Some times this thing is so frusterating. It kept telling me that my HTML code was unacceptable. Well then don't create it that way blogspot!! I also gave up on getting the pictures in the right place. anyway, hope this works.

Finally we won A game! Yes, ONE game. Its a big deal ok? Not only did we WIN, but we also scored 45-17! It sure was fun to watch the Aggies play well though! Maybe we;l beat the cougs in two weeks...heehee ;) A few weeks ago we went camping with "The Boonies" and Kylie and Spencer Boothe. We didn't get to go camping all summer long so we decided to take one of the last warm weeknds to enjoy the outdoors. We had a TON of fun! Hobo dinners are always FABULOUS, and Boonie and Jenn made some amazing peach cobbler with ice cream for dessert. yum yum!

This weekend I got to go to a NUSKIN conference with Kyle (and got to see Jade and Tayler!) It was a lot of fun! I dont' think I'm going to become a distributor at this point but I think their vitamins and skin products are amazing. We also got to go to Lagoon for NuSkin's company party. Lincoln works there so he got tickets. I had been feeling sick all day but I LOVE rides so I rode anyway. You can imagine those consequences...

So, anyone know of any jobs opening in Logan? Particulary something in communications that includes benefits? Pretty slim pickings...but let me know if you hear of anything! thanks, love ya'll!

The last couple days...

The last couple days have basically looked the same as the last couple weeks. Consisting of alternating between looking online for job openings, driving around town for ideas of where to drop off my resume, eating lunch with my hubby, and hanging out with Penny. For some reason though, the last couple days have felt different. Although nothing major has changed, a collection of small things has made a big impact on my perspective.

Yesterday morning as I checked "craigs list", the classifieds, (with fingers crossed) and my email, I received an unexpected little gift from a great friend is Boise. Oh what a blessing it was! This short video brought the spirit immediately and also brought me back to where I needed to be. Its only six minutes long, you won't be disappointed if you watch it.

After watching this video a couple of times throughout the day, I sat down and worked on my RS lesson for this Sunday. "Beyond the Veil-Life in the Eternities". (Its chapter 18 in the Teachings of Joseph Smith manual-read it so you'll be prepared for RS) As I've studied the topic of what we have to look forward to after this life, I just thought about how short our time on Earth is; and how our reward afterward is everlasting. What a wonderful driving force through all those day to day stresses and trials that we have! No matter what we go through now, it will soon end, and we will have become stronger for it. Heavenly Father's plan for the eternities is such a merciful, happy blessing. Our time on Earth is a time to learn, grow and find happiness through our families and work towards those eternal goals.

This morning I found out that Jade's step-brother Brian was killed last night in California. What a shock and tragedy that is. It just came as a reminder that life is a gift from our Heavenly Father. There are no guarantees of how long we'll be here so there is no reason to waste a minute doing what we came here to do.

to see what everyone meant when they talked about being touched by this family and their story. I had been avoiding it because, to be honest, I didn't want to be sad and worry about something that I had no control over. But I know what everyone meant now. I too, really connect with them. It reaffirmed the thoughts that I've been having over the last couple days. Life is fragile. Heavenly Father loves us and is guiding our lives. When things don't turn out exactly how we imagined, He probably has something better in store for us. It is amazing how they are able to see the blessings through this horrible tragedy.

Sorry this was so long. I just had a lot on my mind. I have lots of pictures and adventures to write about soon, I'm just a little behind!

After a long summer, Chase and I are happily back in Logan! Although it was a good experience, we sure were happy to say goodbye to Pointe Pest Control and move back to Logan. This past week we were able to see our families, welcome a new neice into the world, and lots of other fun things. On Thursday August 21, 2008 Tayler Jade Enzler was welcomed into this world. She is such a beautiful baby and it was so fun to see my brother Kyle as a Dad. Jade was just an adorable new mom and the baby has her beautiful full lips. Here are some pics!
We also got to go to the Western Idaho Fair with some very close friends from High School. Kim just returned from a mission in Brazil and I hadn't seen Summer in a long time too. I just LOVE these girls! We didn't skip a beat, it was so fun to catch up and go on a triple date together.

It was also Leah Vanwagenen's homecoming talk from her mission in Argentina. It is not very often that so many of "the girls" are able to all get together. Its too bad we were missing a few!

We finally got back to Logan early this week and I was just exhausted. I guess Penny was too. She is such a cuddly dog!

I was making brocolli the other night and when I caught a whiff of the smell it instantly reminded me of this snack that I hadn't eaten or thought of in years and years. My mom and I used to eat it when I was little. It is SO delicious even though it sounds kind of weird. I love it though becasue its so fast and rather healthy. You just melt some cheese on a tortilla and put a pickle slice and a few sprigs of brocolli. mmmmmm!!! Its delicious! I am always looking for easy,healthy, delicious snacks. Do any of you have any ideas? What is your favorite thing to eat when you aren't hungary enough for a meal?

sales, sales sales

Well I feel like even though I have some time to update our blog, I don't have anything interesting to update it with! That is really sad, I know.

Basically this is what our life consists of for the time we are in Seattle:

7:00 Take Penny out and then cuddle with her on our bed
8:00 am wake up
8:0010:00 shower, eat breakfast, play with Penny, pack lunch
10:15 arrive at the office-check email
11:00 Correlation meeting (training, goal setting, etc.)
12:00 head out to our area
12:30-9:15pm knock on doors, sell pest control, look for bugs, get the door slammed in our faces, make some money
9:40 do paperwork for our sales
10:15 go home, eat dinner
11:30 bedtime (finally)

I'm sure this was extremely boring for most of you. Sorry. I guess it kind of shows what our life consists of these days. Don't get me wrong though, its a pretty tedious lifestyle but its not horrible. We make whatever fun we can and try to do lots of fun things between 6:00 pm on Saturday night and Sunday.

who brought the rain?

Hello everyone! I just have a quick minute or two before correlation starts so I thought I'd give an update. We've been in Seattle now for a week and a half. This is a tough job! The first two days were pretty rough because it poured rain on us and was freezing cold. It was a good time for us to realize that even in the bitter cold we could still sell accounts. Once the sun came, things have just gotten better and better! We have been picking up sales and getting more and more confident on the doors each day we go out.

We honestly feel that we have been extremely blessed as we came out. The first day we got out here we found an awesome apartment for hundreds less than we should be paying out here. (We are just outside of Seattle in Kent.)The girls who work in the office LOVE Penny and practically begged us to leave her there during the day while we sell. Heavenly Father is definitely helping us while we are here. We are both pretty good at selling and are getting better and better as time goes on as well. We miss you all and hope that we can catch up soon.
